VT Heater Core Re-Route

Hi Guys, Came across this thread here Heater core reroute In which a fellow has re-routed his heater core (Image here http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink) I was wondering if someone could help me interpret this before i start hacking away at hoses.

Am i right in saying all he has done is taken the large hose, and attached it to the part above / under it (the hose that now looks like a U) and clamped it?

YEP, thats wot I did once, when the friggin heater tap started to leak! Just by passes the heater.
