    hey guys ive just bought a 1998 v6 executive and im just wondering what kind of performance i would get from a lukey 3.5 inch exhaust system with extractors and a ultra high flow air filter and a tune to 98 octane fuel?

    absolutely nothing! you'll lose power. 3.5 inch is way to big for a n/a v6. It'll make a lot of noise a nothing else.

    VT - VZ V6 Commodore - Mace Engineering Group

    12mm plenum spacer, 25mm manifold insulator. If your funds stretch far enough go for a CAI as well.

    Out of all that the tune will net you the most power exhaust an filter you will notice the noise thats about it. yeah as said above a 3.5 inch is way to big for a n/a 6 go the 2.5 inch.

    Are you just looking for better launch? Get a higher ratio crown wheel and pinion for your diff. It will drop your top speed (not much, who needs to be doing 200kph) but you will get away from the lights quicker. You might also have to change the little plastic gear in your speed sender unit for correct reading on your speedometer. Couple of hundred dollars and less down time. Takes about 2 hours to change the crown wheel and pinion.

    You need lower ratio diff gears, not higher ones for better launch and acceleration.
