Climate control vacuum solenoid pack repair

My vt calais had the a/c vents changing around when accelerating fault.I checked out the vacuum
solenoid pack under the passanger dash.I removed it from its black case,and after rehooking up the
vacuum hose and plug found that twisting /touching the board made 3 of the solenoids click in and out
by themself.On closer inspection of the back of the circuit board i found that some of the solder joints
had small cracks around the pins,causing a bad connection.I then resoldered the affected pins on the
board.While i had the solenoid pack out,i uncliped the plastic vacuum hose connection on the top of
each solenoid and removed the metal valve and spring inside.I then cleaned out the hole/sealing area with some compressed air(it had small particles of rubber from the seal on the end of the metal valve).Then i put everything back together and tested it.It fix the fault !

If you dont want to pay $150+ for a new solenoid unit,this would be worth a try.

I would say the circuit board doesn't like the constant heating and cooling effect it gets from being
connected the the fan box over time causing these small cracks to form in the soilder on the
board.And the rubber dust particles on the sealing area of the valve inside the solenoid wouldn't help either.
