    Quoted from elsewhere:

"Yes, the VT SS S/C V6 is certainly a Genuine Holden Model, there are a fair few forum mumebrs with this very rare combination and they are one heck of a machine. Bigger Spoilers, More Seat Bolstering, Factory LSD and Power Pack, Factory Fodlamps ... etc. they are very well featured, sporty and sought-after."

From what I can find, they only came with the Series 1 VT. They are rare as hell and apparently came with the same amount of kw as the factory SS v8 of its time.

Realise that doesn't answer your question of how many made but I will keep hunting.

Edit: s/c V6 was 171kw and the 5.0L V8 was 179kw. None of the above info completely confirmed..

    Consider yourself corrected.

The super6 was 'optional' which means theres absolutely NO way to know how many were made, unless you were the bloke sitting on the end of the line and you kept count. Any site who says a number is just talking out their ass unfortunately.

Not in VT there weren't, VZ is the first model SV6 (not counting the VP HSV SV6)

    Oh.

the common names for that motor are L67 or Super6
Most holden people would assume SV6 as the VZ/E model

You have the same problem as the OP, Holden never get records of certain models build numbers, so any number would just be a guess (if it makes you feel better, i've only ever seen Yellow and Black CV6's )

haha cheers, although not the answer i wanted to hear, someone said try ringing vicroads, but that just seemed like a pointless idea to me, surely they cannot give out information like how many red cv6's are registered in vic.

    cheers

Lol that would just be a waste of your time. They probably CAN access that info, but they wont tell you any of it...
If you know someone who works at a holden dealer, you could possibly get them to search your cars model code (not sure if yours is the same as older commodores, but my model code is A8X) and then search by paint colour. Would be a time consuming process and would probably cost you beers

Not really sure what else you can do. If they say its 'special' then thats what they will always go on.

Shannons are usually good at knowing normal models from special models, but i lol'd when they wanted to charge me $6000 a year for my new car (26yo with no at fault crashes/fines). They might do the same to you...

I just bought one. Doesn't seem any differently equipped than a normal VT SS except for the motor itself. I would assume that more than 250 were made but I did see that figure a few times when I was looking up info on them. Sorry to dig up an old thread but I would also be keen to know any other info it anyone has some on them.
VX2 Executive Sedan - 3.8L Auto (for now)
VT SS Sedan - Supercharged V6 Auto (Genuine L67 SS)
VN SS Sedan - 5.0L 5 Speed Manual (Currently Balga spec waiting for panel and paint)

I have found a couple for sale on our local auction site TradeMe. Both are black.

Holden Commodore SS 1999 | Trade Me

Holden Commodore VT SS Commodore Supercharged 1998 | Trade Me

If I was in a better financial position I would trade in my VT Berlina on one...
