hi guys just wondering what work is needed to lower a commodore on 245 like the the title says
im getting new shocks in the rear and near struts just wondering how low should i go and do i need to replace the the struts or the shocks with lower or can i just use the standed
245 will rub some where, inner and outter for me,
235 were fine tho , 18's and ssl, std shocks
I am running 245/45R18 at the moment, it rubs (only just) on the inner shock tower (where the spring fits into) on the fronts, and I have a slight guard rub on the rear passenger side (even after lipping the guards).
I did some research, and 245/40R18 would be fine, or if I replaced the shocks with coil-overs, it would stop the issues on the front, and give me about 2cm of clearance.
Note: I have a VX SS Series 2, so I have the camber kit on the rears. The Series 1, or the VT will have more camber, so it might rub the inner shocks on the rear, but miss the guards.
Hope this helps.
EDIT: Just to add, I am also running VE 18" rims.

I got 35/245R19,sl front ssl rear an no issues with rubbing. An if going sl or lower you should get shocks an struts why do a half arsed job.
Take it easy...But do take it...
Do not argue with an IDIOT.
He will just drag you down to his level an beat you with experience.
Some people take me the wrong way, Like smacking up Marijunna.

Just need to know what hub (centre of wheel) to guard measurements you want and we can work out which springs to use.
