No crank on my VX V6 auto!
I started my car to move it out of the driveway with no problems. Came back 30 minutes later to move it back and I've got no crank. Remote button working/unlocks doors no problems. Got power, all lights on the dash, radio on etc. When I turn the key the power aerial starts to go down, the radio cuts out as you turn past accessories (standard -as it always does when you crank/start the car), dash lights remain on the dash and dont drop voltage asyou turn the key. BUT NO CRANK AT ALL. Doesnt click, doesnt have any reaction under the bonnet.
Any ideas on where to start?? Also I remember on the VN/VP's that you use to be able to bridge the terminals on your ECU plug to pull out codes/faults from the computers. Does anyone know if you can still do that with the VX's??
First make sure its in Park or Neutral. I know that it sounds silly......

Not such a silly thing to say, people do do it - but yes it wont start in park or neutral. First thing I checked.....
Check this page out for the error code how-to... I would also try swapping out some of the relays in the engine bay, just dont change the low speed fan relay cause it's a different layout than the rest and the fan will come on constantly and drain your battery.
ERROR CODES VT/VX
Cheers and thanks guys. Got it sorted and up and running again....
Wasnt anything to do with codes, just a dodgy solenoid on the starter
Does that mean that I don't have to suggest trying the solenoid for working?
i have the same problem at the moment.. will have to do the same i reckon...
