question 1... i have a locksmith coming tommorrow to program me a new key cos i dont have a spare and my current one just shit itself(opened it up and its wet and rusted).. he said he can do it but i forgot to mention i dont have a stock head unit... will this be a problem?
question 2... i have a clicking/ scrubbing sound coming from my right wheel and my steering wheel shakes, worse when moving slow... people have said its a bearing on its way out. is this most likely the problem and how safe is it to drive with a shotty bearing?
thanks heaps![]()
why would an aftermarket headunit matter? its got nothing to do with the key so no it wouldnt matter, as for the second question,id say its a bearing also, probably not very safe driving so id be looking at getting it replaced very soon
Clicking in all reality is probably just a stone in the tread![]()
haha well i dunno i thought maybe they had to put some codes in or something... and nah not a stone.. i took the wheel off and checked cos in the beggining it was a stone like sound but it migrated to a scrubbing.. i think ill buy a bearing tommorrow and get my shit sorted. thanks
if it was the original headunit and they disconnected the battery, then they would need to put the code in
