    First off, ####ing LOL.
Secondly, why were you 'dropping the clutch' ??
Thirdly, is there any noises coming from either the clutch/gearbox area, or the diff area? Like crunching/grinding metal noises that shouldn't be there?

isnt that what your supposed to do when its a manual?
cant really remember if there was any noises but after i took off after the attempt to do a burnout, when i was in 1st gear it was jerking. like it was cutting in and out when i had my foot on the accelarator

If the dif went bang, you'd no about it.
It'll rattle and clang and not want to roll any where.

Could have detonated the clutch too.

You only do that if you're not afraid to break something...

With a V8, you don't need to 'drop the clutch' you find the friction point, and gently, but quickly let it out - So it eases the load onto the driveline. Not just dump it - resulting in a major shock load, and snapping things.

Next time you're at the car, start it up, roll back and forth on a driveway (1st - reverse) with some one outside the car to see if the diff's grinding, or if the clutch has let go.
If theres any noises that should point you int he right direction.

If no noises, get under it and take the inspection cover off the bottom of the bell housing, see if theres clutch lining floating about, could have ripped the fibre clutch lining of the clutch it self. Or even snapped some of the fingers of the pressure plate?

Does it do the jerking all the time, or just that one time after you took off?

lol, if the engine is misfiring then yes, it would 'take off' anything but smooth.

clutch, as said above, something broken in gearbox, tailshaft center bearing/uni, teeth off pinion or ring gear (or both), driveshaft cv shot. They the main ones. I may have missed something. Could be as simple as the burned lead/s

As has been said, shouldnt have been dropping the clutch without being prepared for something to break (also as said you shouldnt NEED to in a V8 anyway. This is what happens when someone who has never driven a V8 before and is used to thrashing 4's and 6's around goes and buys a V8).
But anyway. No the series 1's didnt have traction control. And also as soop said you'd know about it if the diff went bang. If there are no noises/grinding/crunching then prob isnt your diff. Replace the burnt lead as thats obviously gonna make it run rough for a start, and see if your problem remains.

I would think the standard clutch didnt like that a whole lot...

and if that was not the problem then it will become the problem very soon. the standard one doesnt like too much "chirping".
i would start saving a few pennies to upgrade ur clutch if ur gonna treat ur clubbly as a burnout car.

i just recently put over $2000 worth of clutch into my vx clubby after the standard didnt wanna play anymore. now chirps 2nd and 3rd easily
