    Default SS Induction Kits

Hey guys, I have been looking at induction kits for a while now.. they are pretty expensive but may be worth it..

There are two different models from "SS Inductions", one claims to be a V6, the other V8..

What are the benefits of upgrading the air box to this? I have a standard airbox with a K&N panel filter atm.

Will this fit in my car? From the looks of it, it does but I could be wrong. And if it does, what are the benefits of getting this?

Any/all info is much appreciated, thanks

I wouldn't wast money on it, Can see it making much improvement over what you have now.
For the price you could put it into something with more better Bang for buck.

the v6 one will fit obviously, An the v8 one will fit but wont hook up without modifications because the TB is in a different position on the ls1 an ecotec. Thats why they make a v6 an a v8 one otherwise they would just make one.

I see, do you know what the benefit of swapping the original with the K&N filter for the V6 would be?
And what sort of modifications would be involved in using the v8 one?

    Thanks

Dont know much about the v6s but better air flow with the k&n over stock filter. Dont know what would have to be done, why you would wont to modify the v8 one when the v6 is a straight swap???

If i'm not mistaken, the v6 one is a pod filter in a different air box, the v8 one has a high-flow big mouth intake that fits above the radiator and a pod filter.

They aren't the same are they?

No they are the same thing they both take air from behind the headlight the v8 one is just bigger. Its not an OTR at all.

Taken from the link you posted it has a big mouth pod filter not an OTR setup.
This is a Growler Cold Air Induction Kit incorporating high-flow Big Mouth (made by Kingdragon, Italy) pod filter.
The SS Inductions Growler kit replaces the standard air induction system, which is very restrictive
EDIT:you can get a big mouth OTR kit from ss inductions but this is not it.
EDIT: That raditor shroud in the pic just replaces the standed 1 that come on the ls1's i would say the standed one wont fit after you put the growler kit in.

If they both take air from behind the headlight, why does the v8 have a massive OTR as the main picture?
