Default :HELP: VT Breaking down on start up

So a couple of weeks ago I found out I was only running on 4 cylinders because one of the ignition leads fall off and I was too busy to look under the bonnet because I really couldn't be bothered after work lol

(I felt like the biggest idiot)

Then the night before it broke down I went threw heavy floods and just made it out, but in the morning I was reversing my car and then when I put it in drive it reved to about 4-5k rpm at 1km/h then broke down . Once I put the lead back on it was running beautifully again but recently on cold mornings or when i reverse out then drive off it revs really high then conks out. Anyone know what this could be?

Most likely transmission if your car is getting the revs but not going anywhere... How many K's has it done and what is the condiion of your trans fluid?

checked the trans fluid today when I got home and it was perfect, its done 230 thousand
I was at an intersection and it just decided not to go anywhere and the engine light came on then when i got it back to work I let it warm up then turned it off and then it ran as normal
but really high revs in first

Could be your CAS (Crank Angle Sensor) next thing would be your DFI module and Coil Packs.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
