I am looking to install a straight through pipe replacing the rear muffler of my car, i dont want to spend too much as im looking to buy a new car, but untill then i want a bit more sound, it costs me $100, what do you think it can do for me, whats the sound like, is there anything else i can do for the same sort of price?

if anything i would suggest replacing the middle muffler with hotdog and keep your resonator... will sound much better

i find keeping the rear muffler only sounds the best combo on a V6 but thats with using extractors, 2 even out the note more.

cant say if certain branded mufflers makes it sounds any different? im only working off my own set up.

A hot dog is just a bullet shaped resonator. People think by fitting one it makes the exhaust louder, but if you just fit one to the exhaust without removing a muffler, it just makes it quieter.

Yes, perfectly legal. (But if the exhaust is too loud, then the whole exhaust is illegal, not the hotdog.)

Dude I have got that and my ride makes a dim grumble when idling but opens up sound after 3000 rpm which is all I need I.e., dim grumble to sound awesome and no extra noise banging my brains out but huge noise when pushed above 3000 rpm.

Mate if your on a tight budget there is nothing better! The previous owner of my car did it and I thought it had a mild catback until I had a look under there. Has a nice sound when idling and when under revs, definitely nothing over the top! I am however getting a lukey catback and pacemaker extractors fitted next week as I want a little more sound and the lukey catback gives the best note to the ecotec in my opinion.
