    Default VX Exhaust

I went to Pitstop today for a exhaust system quote for a cat back mod.
A coby 3inch system is what was recommended for my vx s manual.

from the other threads that ive seen on here, 3" seems to be bigger than recommended?

i had told the guy i didnt want it mentally noisy or droning, and asked if they had a 2.5" system as per what most people on here have recommended, but aparently they are not common over here in NZ and 3" is the way to go?

I queried if i would be loosing power/torque cos of the larger diametre and aparently not.

Any help at all would be great. Is 3" too big? thanks in advance!

Apparently 3" is too big. 2.5" is about right and should be common as hell (try another exhaust place). Or if your really stuck, ask Soop (beat ya Soop)and he will say twin 2.5" if you don't want it to sound like ass, these are common LS1 systems. But with the twin and 3" you will lose low down torque.

3inch is too big! so is 2.5! whats recomended by alot of books is 2.25" but for a better sound people get 2.5". 3" is way to big in my eyes!

all good got it done today, the guy originally said a 3" cos he thought it was a v8 when he saw the manual stick.
got a 2.5" stainless system. sounds good.
thanks for the help. Soop if that was advise, thanks. if not, nevermind.
