Vx Exhaust V6 Question

Hey guys, getting a Red back cat back system for my car (Vx V6 Auto) just wondering what the main advantages/disadvantages of getting a straight through pipe instead of a rear muffler..?

From the research i did i found that the straight through pipe will be abit louder..?
But what about things like power and fuel economy? Also which one will drone more..?
The straight through is heaps cheaper.
