VT S S/C
.7

but seriously
5L cast iron block last v8 holden made. power = 195kw
5.7 alloy engine ( genIII or AKA LS1 ) chev engine. Started with 220kw.

LS1 has better economy, 5L had better sound.

LS1 has much more potential for overall power, but is weaker down low in the rev range. 5L has more down low torque.

LS1s have better resale, but a common fault was Oil consumption. Apparently the really faulty engines were teh early ones, and Holden swapped engines out to fix the issue.

Oh and series 1 VT had 5L Series 2 had 5.7. Gen 3 and LS1 are the same engine. there was a 5.7 series 1, but this was a stroker engine, or a bored out 5L. those were pretty rare, and I think only the Senator Signatures, and GTS's had them.

lol, you're in my sig now.

i just dont like how you have to keep the revs up to the LS1 to get anywhere compared to the 304.
