Just before I walked outside, unlocked the car and no lights inside the car came on.. opened the door and, given I have a berlina, the little lights and the footwells weren't on either.
The interior light is set on 'door' so not sure what it is, a fuse or what?
If so, what fuse etc.?
Cheers!
Try this thread. Todays. The fuze you are looking for is labelled "interior illumn". Toward the top left of the diagram
99 vt fuse diagram...pleeasssee help
cheers for that graham i had the same issue... do you know if that would also include the headlights? my caprice's lights wont turn off anymore after i open the door with the ignition off like they used to, i ended up with a flat battery because they were on during the day and i didnt notice
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
That problem is caused by the driver's door switch. The interior lights coming on and the headlights switching off both are based on that switch telling the car the driver's door has opened. One screw to remove the switch just clean the copper parts with brasso and also clean the paint under where the switch sits with soapy water. Reinstall the switch and test.

all fixed, went to autobarn, got the 10A fuse, put it in and all sweet!
cheers guys!
So the fuse has blown again! Is there anything that I have to do to make sure it doesn't happen again?
Why is it doing this?
Thanks in advance!
I think mick1988 may be on the right track. pull the door switch out, clean the contacts, replace the fuze. Let us know what happens. Dirty/corroded contacts cause higher resistance so fuzes blow.
and where is the door switch exactly?
is that the little 'button' type thing that is like a cylinder in the inner piece of the door?
