Default Faulty computer in VX Calais?

I have a 2000 VX Calais that has just recently started doing the following at random times (either when I start the car, or when I am driving) - It happens almost on every trip now and is occuring more frequently:

    - Engine, ABS, Trac Off, Oil Light all light up (Oil is fine)
    - I lose Air Con (with a small X on the screen), Power Steering and Power Brakes.
    - No or stuck gear indicator, Temp guage sits at Cold, speed/tacho/fuel OK.

Car still drives OK apart from the above, would you be safe to assume the computer is at fault here considering it is effecting other systems? If so what is the cost? Or should I just take it in to a dealer? I am looking at replacing the car within the next few months so dont want to spend a fortune.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

It could be a faulty ABS module, that can cause some weird things. Best thing to do is get it diagnosed. Disconnect the ABS module connector and see what happens.

disconnect abs module, you should then have lowtrac, abs and trac off, light turn on, but everything be fine, if so, abs is dead

thanks guys, wiggling the ABS harness will clear the oil light, as does disconnecting it. The others stay on. I have tried cleaning the contacts with contact cleaner but no difference.

my only concern is the air con (compressor)/power steering and brakes all stop working when this happens, so could it be BCM as Burnout124 suggests?

I remember reading a post on here years ago by Doctor Bob who was a Holden technician and knew a lot, he said if the oil light goes out when the ABS module is disconnected then the module is at fault. I suggest you go to Holden and get them to check it out rather than buying a module or BCM and perhaps wasting money.
