ok so i just bought some SS seats, putting them in as we speak.
need to take the old seat belt buckle off to put it on the new seat, i dont have the required tool, repco is shut. any ideas??
what tool is it? where you from?
if you cant get one then looks like you will have to wait another day :P that would suck
would have thought the buckles would be the same
Chev badges are an instant fail
the new lot doesnt have the buckle attached so need to use my own.
the tool i need is some sort of star shaped screw driver thing..
torque split :P
i have a set, where you from bud?
cant find a picture on google to confirm that its them... but if you look behind your steering wheel there will be 4 of the same bolts holding the steering wheel on correct?
Yep its called a T5 bit mate i got one here like Cameron said where you from mate
im from western sydney btw..
Adelaide looks like he might have sorted it guess that's why he ain't replying
im from melbourne....
i ended up using a extension bar, cramming it in the bolt (was pretty much the same as the steering wheel ones but alot bigger), and using a shifter for leverage... worked a treat =)
thanks for the replys guys.
No worries as long as you got it done
what model ss are the seats from?
dicksmiths use to sell a box that had 50+ tips all shapes and sizes, iv neva seen a screw or bolt i cant undo. handy to have
if its too loud your too old
yea might need to invest in something like that, im forever running down to repco with the car half stripped coz i need something... =\
seats are much better than the old executive ones =)
mate, just use an allen key. works fine. 6.5mm.
if u use an allen key bit, u can slot it into a 6.5mm socket and ratchet it
