How many k's out of ls1

hey guys, i am seriously wondering about spending any more money on my clubby, it has 197000 now so how long will these motors last? i want to put a cam and get a mafless tune done soon but is it really worth it?

I had a look at a guys one here in town,had 286550 on the clock.He told me he'd never touched it and was still going strong.

I always keep my cars serviced regularly, I drive it hard once in a while, I don't redline itnor anything or
Do burnouts, so would it hold up if I were to cam it and tune?

If it's running well now then just do it. Not too many stories of them letting go without serious abuse over on the LS1 forums and I suspect that's a group that's harder on their engines than average.

ive got around 223*** on my ls1 vt ss , ive done OTR CAI headders full exhaust system and a nice cam with gentech in canberra that tuned it up for me and mine runs like a dream

Ls1 motors should last 500000Ks if you are look after it right
