performance mods that arent obvious to cops?

what are the best mods to do that you cant see if u were too look under the bonet? i was half way through this before but someone decided to close the thread.
iv got a vu S and im on green P's so im kinda limited to what i can do which is why i wanna do it so they cant really notice, any help at all would be great.
