hey guys well if you've seen my thread My 2001 Silver VX Lumina
you'll know that ive got a HBD sides and back with a VTSS front which i was told buy the fu**ing wrecker that sold it too me that it would fit fine on my VX well unfortunately it didnt. it doesnt quit go over the ends.
so after cutting and modifying my front bar, i got it on but honestly im very unhappy with it and i'm going to sell the whole front end and get something new
the two choices i'm thinking of are S-pac front bar for $150 dollars primed and ready to go
or this HSV Monaro GTO front bumper body kit-VX Sedan,Ute,Wagon | eBay
I'm leaning towards the s-pac just because its cheaper but i don't know whether it would suit the 'edgy' look of the other kit but the monaro gto front obviously looks better but cost double and is fibreglass (won't fit properly)
PS in the attached picture i don't know how the F*ck he got that front lip on, my car is identical
Dont go fibreglass mate, esp on ebay it will be broken during transport and most panel shops hate it.

They are good from what i have seen.
thanks for the opinions boys keep em coming i need to be convinced (you saw how good the monaro front looked on the pictures on ebay!!)
@edals yeah ive been on ssv before but the pricing is very expensive especially the postage.
The GTO bar is what I have on mine and is a mean looking front bar but it scrapes a lot, just be sure your ready for it.
@jmp is yours the fibreglass one? and if so did it fit perfect and did you get it from the same seller on ebay?
Yeah mine is fibreglass but I got it from a private seller. I have put extra fibreglass in quite a few areas like around the lights, grill, sides and bottom also just to make it stronger and it can now take quite a hit (and has) and not crack. You will find that most fibreglass kits need work but it's not that hard really, it's just time consuming and a lot of installing and removing it while your fitting it to get it right.
i would of gone to the wrecker and complained, good luck mate

yeah i wanted to but there was no point it only cost me 100 and its already been painted
nah this kit is specially made to fit tear drop lights, but the only reason i dont wanna get it is because i heard fibre glass kits dont fit well.
i might buy a clubsport front, atleast it'll suit the rest of my car.
trust me dude, i bought a kit from this guy on ebay!! shit house quality and wouldnt give me any help! everywhere there was a corner there was a crack, ive still got the kit in my shed. never fitted it to my old vt, bit the bullet and bought a vx clubby. imo if your car is identical to that red one i reckon it looks better than trying to dress it up with a diff kit.
thanks mate i definately wont be getting a fibreglass one now haha
yeah my car is identical to the red one in specs but for some reason the front bar on mine doesnt match up its short about 2cms both sides
have you tried getting another front lip from holden? maybe the one you have shrunk on the car from the wreckers.
wen u put on the VTss lip did u take off the lip thats on the standard bar u have already? if u didnt thats y it wouldnt fit coz usually only the fibre glass lips fit over the top like a sleeve, the genuine 1ns use scriverts 2 fit the lip on seperatly.

i honestly don't know how it could've shrunk that much and i watched the wrecker take the piece off an old vtss front bar but i'm sure it just slides over front bar. even if i cut the old black piece off the front bar it'll still be short
i'm not sure whether i should get the s-pac front, although its REALLY cheap i don't think it'll suit the rest of my kit. what do you guys think?
