Hey guys, my friend just bought a 98' VT Berlina Sedan with roof racks,
He wants to get them off but needs the allan key (I'm assuming like a lock nut type thing) as the previous owner lost it or something.
I was just wondering if the Roof racks would of been factory fitted (as in, did they come with the option for sedans)?
If so is it just a trip to the local holden dealer or is there another way of getting them off?
Thanks guys! hopefully my mate signs up to JC soon :P
You can buy a set of different types of safety screw adaptors with allen key, torx and other types at places like Supercheap. The set has allen keys with a hole in the centre which is what you need. I don't know the correct name of this set but it comes in small rubber container about 2 X 3 inches and is not very expensive and comes in handy for other screws.

MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
Yes ^^^^
Or you could go into an accessory store and ask if you can borrow the allen key and remove the racks in the carpark. Takes about 5 minutes.
