Default Loss In Power All Of A Sudden

This past 2 weeks the old VT just hasn't been pulling as hard. Usually it would have a bit of kick but now you have to put the foot to the floor to get anywhere...

I was at my girlfriends house last night and i parked the car on her driveway which is on a angle and the car faces downwards. I left this morning, and i started the car, put it into "R" for reverse and let go of the brake and the car rolled forward and nearly hit her car lol. I put it in neutral and back into "R" and it then worked????

I have not checked any fluid, trans fluid, engine fluid, brake fluid. I should probably check that as i cant remember the last time i checked/changed it??

    Any suggestions??

It would be worth checking trans fluid. Check colour and level. I dont know what you mean by engine fluid tho?

    i did mean oil lol...

the oil in the engine is as black as anything...ill change that.

as for the box, i checked and the tranny fluid was full and crystal clear clean...perfect. i rang where i got it built, and they said ive possibly ripped the teeth off the gear inside??? and only sometimes will it lock in to reverse. getting it checked out on friday

its red...not blood red but like a pinky red. he said something about a cog with teeth, and the reason why it didnt get reverse is because the cog is stripped and there was no teeth to grab onto...and when i put it into "N" for neutral and then "R" again it grabbed because it got teeth, which indicates to him that the unit isnt completely stripped of all teeth.
