1999 Commodore VT Series II
I collided with a truck today at a petrol station which destroyed my driver door, shattering the glass but fortunately leaving me unharmed. I put my name down at my local wreckers for a new door but I don't know how long it's going to take to get it. Are there any places in Sydney which have Bronze/Champagne coloured doors? How much should I expect to pay for one and what is the maximum I should be paying to get it fitted? I'm just thankful that it was only the door, but I'm only a student so I just hope this doesn't drain my bank account....
Help would greatly be appreciated.
hey mate im from QLD and we have a huge Holden wreckers up here, there is a pretty high chance they will have the door your after and in the same colour and they post things to. Barsby Spare Parts homepage

Mate give commwreck in sydney a call. They're not far from bankstown.

I think that the colour and perhaps trim is the issue.
$150-200 maybe for the door? Cheaper privately if you can find it.
Fitting should only be an hour or so, depending on what has to be swapped over (door trim, lock or window mechanisms or just a straight on/off). + $100?
They are not particularly difficult to DIY. I think that there is a "How To" on replacing doors.
Commwreck may have something for me, and in the right colour too! Thanks guys.
OK got a new door, really happy. The trim and lock can be transferred over from my old door. Now I just need to find someone to fit it before the long weekend. Could I take it to any mechanic or does it have to be a panel beater? I don't think I could do it myself and I was told that the job should only cost me $50-100.
