    Smile what to do next to my VU...?

    ok so iv got a few ideas floatting around in my head as to what i should/could do with my ute in the up comming months. but i'd like some advice from people who have already done these kinda things before or know wat they are talking about...

    i want to finish my exhaust off completely. iv got a 2.5inch redback cat-back exhaust already but am now looking into getting extractors n all.
    iv been told and have read that pacemakers are fantastic for extractors so i am going to go with them, the only thing im not sure about is if i should get twin hi-flo cats or just one? price dosnt bother me, cause if there will be some gains to see/feel, then ill spend the $$$ no questions asked.

    iv got a Growler CAI, but am after some more throttle response and acceleration. i have a manifold insulator sitting n waitting to be installed, but i do not want to get a plenum spacer to tie in with it, as i want to keep my engine cover on. i have looked at getting a 69mm borred out throttle body, but am unsure as to if it will give much of a gain and/or if it will fit onto my original intake piping comming off the CAI.

    now alot of people say that cams are a great way to get more power. but i know there is a fair amount of work and a re-tune required after which is ALOT of money that i could possibly use elsewhere for similar gains. what kind of gains can be found from installing ultra high ratio roller rockers into my VU? i read they can give similar gains to cam's but cost alot less and are alot easier installed. so i kinda wana hit up that road if i can

    iv got swaybars, struts, and new bushes in the process of being bought (friend is dealling with it all) and afew other things but i am after some answers to those questions if possible

    My vu does 136kw at the wheels and gained 50nm of torque with 1.98 rockers ,spacer and insulator, 69mm throttle body,k&n panel filter, pacey extractors dual 100 cell cats and a dual 2 1/4 system. I got my exhaust done first and after that it put out 117kw. On a similar note I went to the drags at willowbank and got beaten by a stock vs wagon it was an auto but I was sure I'd catch it it got me at the start because mines manual but I didn't catch it just stayed with it he ended up beating me by only .200 of a second but still lol

    hasn't got to do with power, but if you camber is bad, you can look at getting yourself a VY or VZ IRS Cradle

    get extractors bro.. will make it sound heaps better over 3000rpm

    roller rockers are the way to go.. or a cam lol

    hmm ok. well i wana do roller rockers instead of a cam, because there is just so much time n effort n $$$ for cams. im looking at a larger throttle body, and exhaust system atm. just saving abitta $$$ to pay for it all.

    yes, iv cleanned out the plenum chamber. i didnt get a chance to install the manifold insulator yet, maybe in a weeks time or sumthing. might do afew jobs at once while the engine is appart.
