By dash do you mean the instrument cluster? If so, then yes you can put it in your car but you will need to get it calibrated to suit your car. This will require a Tech 2, so you will probably need to go to a Holden dealer.

awesome, have you done this personally? (and yes the cluster) i was told there would be issues coz its going from an 8 to 6, and the speedo goes up to 250, not 220.. can this all be fixed by callibrating? or do i need to do anything else? and what about the extra sensors and lights in the HSV dash, can it be set up for it to all work? or will i loose some of it?? thanx for your reply.

The cluster stores info on the drive train - gearbox, diff ratio, rim/tyre combo, air bags, climate control/ A/C, fuel tank sender and engine along with kms.

All this needs to be calibrated to your car. try Pheddy on this forum - he may be able to help (it may take a little time tho)

changing it over will require a tech2 to recalibrate it... i did mine the opp way round, mine came out of a xu6 and got it calibrated to suit the ls1

click on this link mate http://www.excelerate.com.au/downloa...nt_program.pdf and print it out, i did this so the guy that calibrated it knew exactly what needed to be done...

    hope this helps mate

The dash can be programmed to work no problem, but if its a 250km cluster, anything after 100kms will be wrong (showing faster than you are actually going), but 0 - 100 will be fine
