    Question Suspension recomendations?

Im looking at getting some 18 or 19" rims within the few weeks and after that im lowering my car. Problem is, im unsure how low to go, i live in Adelaide and the quality of the roads here is terrible, with a lot of bumps, holes and basically sh!tty roads. So im worried going too low might cause some problems

Im looking at getting either King Lows or super lows with Monroe shocks. I can pick up a package and get it installed fairly cheap through my uncles shop.

So yeah recommendations? anyone from Adelaide want to chime in with some suggestions?

(Nutshell version: Adelaide has crap roads, what's a safe low suspension setup)

if the roads in Adelaide, are like anything in nsw there bumpy and really pot holey, id go with super lows all round with pedders shocks, althought im not up to date with shocks these days

another good question is how low do you acutally want to go?

    Thumbs up Suspension

I've recently lowered my VR ute with super lows and gabriel ultra lowered shocks and I am quite impressed with the quality. I live in Sydney and have hit plenty of rough roads and they've been great. Although do not remove bump stops, i did this as a trial and it bottomed out too much on some bumps.
Rides still pretty nice on the stops.

Must add, I am riding on 18x8" rims too. And ride height is perfect, about 10mm below the front and rear arches i'd say. Maybe bit less. No scrubbing on full lock either.

    Hope this helps

Yeah mate Adelaide roads are exactly like that. add to this unintentional lumps in the roads too most of the roads look like a patchwork blanket of new/old bitumen

As for how low i want to go, i do want to go insanely low like you might see some show cars etc but id like a big difference from stock if that helps. I dont thing the king lows will cut it so im thinking super lows, and i can get Monroe shocks pretty cheap to thats why im thinking of getting them

Hey mate thnks for your your feedback. Havent heard of gabriel shocks but havent shopped around that much either, are they good quality?
With the bump stops, are you using stock ones or did you grab some of the King bump stops?

Yeah Gabriel's are nice, my car rides nicely over bumps (much more than I expected with supers), i'm sure the monroe's would be pretty much the same. They seem to be good quality. (i'm no expert on suspension though)
And as for bump stops, I am using my stock ones. They are fine for me, haven't really had any probs, need them for when I have a load in the back, they still have enough give in them for a decent ride. Didn't really know about the king ones.

Here's a link to the shocks I got:http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWNX:IT and www.gabriel.com, then go to PRODUCTS>PREMIUM PASSENGER CARS
