Default Where is the Tacho Signal Wire

hi, I need help with a 2000 vt v6. I installed a tacho in my car and have power and earth for the lighting on the tacho but where is the signal wire?

There is a connection above the bell housing that doesn't go anywhere and I have been told that is the signal wire.

If not where can I run the signal wire from? I have pulled the cluster out and probed wires as per instructions from a auto eleccy and found nothing. then told that his instructions are only for a vt v8.

    please help.

If I recall correctly there should be a single wire with a connector taped to the main loom that runs along the firewall on the passenger side. It might take a bit of looking.

I had it on my VT. Although the picture below is for a supercharged model it should be there in other models as well.
