    Default rear standard springs

I was thinking on using VZ ute springs in my VT wagon. I searched the forums and found heaps of info, all of it contradictory!!! I think, I'll go to the wreckers and look. Once there, I find that some of the answers on the forums must have been while members were on wacky weed. The VZ (id'D on compliance) ute I looked at has LEAF SPRINGS!!! With live axle diff! Do some people just guess at what might be a good answer or what? Or are there some VZ utes out there with IRS? Point me to them.

hahahahaha, There are utes with live axles and leaf springs. Most if not all are one tonners. Style side utes got the IRS IIRC. The leaf spring setup is better for carrying lots of weight. The VP - VZ IRS was poorly in this regard.

If you want to swap springs around, the VT springs should work in the back of the VX. They're more ore less identicle depending on the which series their from. The basic layout is the same, but there were some bushing changes as well as toe and camber adjustment much later on.

Thanks for the reply soop, The ute I looked at was a 2007 style side I assume 1 tonner because of the massive springs. VZ compliance. I thought it should have been VE in 2007. I near fell over when I saw the springs. You are usually on the ball so I will ask a direct question. I want my wagon to sit at standard height but have good carrying capacity. It has a 2100kg Hayman Reese tow bar that weighs 60kg itself. The springs in it now were put in only a month age. First time I put a decent load in it, (300kg) it sat down and did not get up again. looks like it has been lowered 50mm. Genuine GMH heavy duty HA HA springs. My son is suggesting KYB in Dunheved but they charge like wounded bulls. This is getting to be a long post so I'll leave it there. Suggestions welcome.

Id be using some king spring extra heavy duty items. If you're in sydney whole sale suspension in penrith has a special on springs at the moment. They'll be able to sort you out.
