I had the same issue when i got my VT, turned out the oil cooler inside the radiator was shot, had to replace the whole radiator.
What really sucked was somehow it wasn't covered under the warranty.
The policy specified it covered ware and tare to the radiator but the cow on the phone said the oil cooler wasn't covered (even though its IN the radiator and you have to replace the radiator to fix it)

If there is Oil in the Coolant it could also be the inlet gaskets, Had the same thing with the old VR, Oil through the coolant, replaced inlet gaskets and a bloody good flush. pure green ever since
But also mentioned could be the Trans cooler leaking inside the radiator. get radiators for about $120. radiator is a easier job to lol Inlet gaskets take hours lol

i would have fitted an external cooler

but there shouldn't be any oil in there either as above or head gasket

This brown sludgy oil in the coolant recovery tank problem was well thrashed out a few months ago. It was concluded by several experianced blokes on here that since the auto trans oil is pink, and the oil detected in the coolant was brown, that it's engine oil leaking through from the valley cover gasket. Logic says that if pink trans oil leakes into the coolant, pink oil will be seen in that coolant, the oil is not going to change colour!
Remedy was to replace the valley cover gasket.
