What do you mean your exhaust is too hard?
Check you haven't got a vacuum leak. You may have knocked a hose off when you did the spark plugs.
Is that a rubber Exhaust hose that may of been knocked off Soop, Please explain?
This is the sort of stuff that happens when the kids get into Dads tool box over weekend.
Money will be spent, Dreams will be shattered, Lessons will be learned, and a wealth of information will be gained.
mechanic told me my exhaust was to hard and was making my engine move witch caused a vibration ??? apparently needs a flexi join somewhere .
all hoses are in pretty sure the one in tb is in witch goes to theback of the engine then it goes to the canister also the ones in the back of the plenum chamber are all in and sorry mate i didint mention i do have extractors with high flow cat and a 2.5 inch lukey exhaust
Hi mate,
Pretty sure it's a vacuum leak or a problem with the ignition system. I just fixed the exact same fault on a ford festiva, turned out there was a fine hairline crack in the distributor cap.
If you just had the plugs out and replaced the fuel filter, and the problem wasn't happening before that, then that's the place to start. Check your work and make sure everything is installed correctly, all connections are secure, plugs aren't cracked and are gapped correctly, leads weren't damaged and were installed in the correct order etc.
my spark plugs arent gapped but when i put them they came at a gap of 1.5 anyway does that matter there ngk irriudum
If they are new, They should have been gapped right out of the pack, 1.5mm is right. You should still check your spark leads to make sure they are good and not damaged, also recheck the plugs, it's really easy to crack them by over tightening, doesn't take much.
Also check your fuel filter to make sure that you installed it correctly.
Both plugs and fuel filters can cause the car to stall, so it seems no coincidence that the issue started after you changed these items.
replaced leads and also replaced oxy sensor as it was a few points out but when the cars ccold it doesnt do it but once its at normal operating temp its starts to vibrate and get a rough idle and almost stall takin off at the lights and struggles to take off for a few seconds
any one help with this one would muchly be appreciated . im goona try replace the coolant temp sensor today just for heck sack because that can make the car run rich
