Hey Guys,
I was my mums vx commodore yesterday including the engine bay. The car accelarates roughly and nearly stalls at times when stopping then accelarating. Can someone explain why this might be as the engine bay is dry?
Has someone experienced the same problem after washing the engine bay and how was the problem fixed.
Cheers.

Although the engine appears dry water can get into a lot of places and remain wet for some time. Water can get into the rubber boots at the ends of the spark plug leads, into wiring connectors and other electrical components. It should eventually dry by itself but blow drying with compressed air or whacking a fan heater in the engine bay for a while will speed up the process. Check the plug leads for moisture.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
check spark. with the car on take off one lead at a time from the coil pack. use tongs or something or you'll get shocked.

Possibly a small crack in a coil pack has allowed water entry and fried it.
Silver Certified.
Seems to be going okay today. Hopefully it stays that way.
