Cheap but decent mods for v6 vt
Hey guys I'm lookin at doing a few mods to my vt that aren't overly priced, can anyone suggest the best mods for performance that won't break my wallet?

Lots of people reckon higher ratio roller rockers are the best bang for your buck. Also getting higher diff gears.. Thats probably a bit more expensive though. Havent tried either of them.. But lots of people cant be wrong.
I'm after something reasonably easy something that isn't 2 difficult

2 hole mod, (search it) about as easy as it gets :P
clean the inside of your plenum chamber (also search on here) probly a little more advanced but still not rocket science, allows better air intake flow
cat back exhaust (depending on budget) also add extractors and high flow cat(s)
new plugs, leads, filters (oil,air,fuel) and oil, run your 98 premium unleaded (bp or mobil)

Iv done leads plugs air filter oil filter, got a cat back 2.5 inch red back coming this week, I'm looking at spending up to 500 depending what it is n what the effects are

$500 should get you a plenum/manifold spacers set or maybe a 1.9:1 rocker set or a 69mm throttle body

Go a new thermostat that opens at a lower temp and manual thermo switch.. Thermostat = $40-50, switch = $10.. Car runs cooler = more power

And if you go higher ratio rockers be careful as to how much "higher" you go as you will have to start to do pushrods etc

Rockers for the win!! I picked Up a set of yella terra 1.85 rockers for 500. Awesome mod!! A lot more noticeable power down low. And you can do it yourself easily enough. There is a thread on here somewhere bout doing it. I highly recommend the rockers!!
If your interested i have a twin throttlebody manifold (made by mace engineering), MAF from a ls1 with piping and pod filter for $1000. Or if you wanna look at lowering your car i have a set of super low suspension for $400. The suspension is king springs, ultima shocks and pedders bearing plates all new in the box unused.
