Ihave a vt ss with a 5 speed getrag in it,the input shaft bearing has spat the dummy,sounds like the damn thing is supercharged..I nearly fell down with the quotes i have been given to replace the bearing, gearbox people tell me the box must be taken apart from the rear to get to the bearing.......However when u look at the workshop manual it shows the bearing retainer removed and u can see the bearing very clearly, my question is can i slide the bearing off the shaft from the front.........Thanks Wes...

I thought all getrag's were rather noisy mate?

This noise over powers the head unit,u can hear the car well before seeing it. (high pitch whine)
