Hi
I am looking at getting some new disc's for my car and i have a few questions
1:Whats min thickness for the Disc ?
2:Are the front and rear disc the same size ?
3:Are the front Disc meant to be slotted/Vented or solid as ive seen some places selling slotted/vented disc and my car has solid disc on it
Cheers
1) not sure
2) front disc will be bigger. as the fronts are used more to stop the car
3) factory disc are mostly solid, you can use the slotted/vented type if you want. they are to help to cool the disc down and wear the brake pad more evenly.
correct me if im worng.

Has anyone heard of RDA brakes ?
If so how much ?
I think standard front are vented, rear are solid and the minimum thickness is stamped on the rotors
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
min thikness for front are 25mm thay are vented rotors the rear are solid rotors and min are 13.9mm no they are not the same size. I run RDA slotted front rotors on my car and i would give them the thums up!
I have a shudder when i brake (Bad when going down hills) i assume its the disc
The fronts are smooth but the rears have ripples over them would the rears be the problem or the fronts
Thanks for the feedback on the RDA Disc
the rotors can be smoth but still be worped if the sudder is through the steering wheel its the fronts but if the whole car shudders then the rears are gone as well i had this problem tride dba gold rotors but they didnt last i found rda slotted the best to fix the problem
Mate can get me TRW Discs and Ferodo Pads for a good price
Anybody have feedback on these brands
Cheers
I have the braking shudders in mine as well (through the wheel). I guessed it was the brakes and my mechanic reckons they're heavily grooved. Would I be doing any damage to any other parts of my car by not replacing them straight away? Besides the whole not killing myself or someone else part I won't be too bothered by it if I'm not doing anything else any harm.
