Angry Leaking water inside the car!

Edit: windscreen replaced, fixed driver side leak but now have new leaks.

Well my car was leaking water on the drivers side foot well. Got my screen replaced since it wasnt much more to get a new one over a reseal.

Anyway, adelaide has had some heavy rain over the last few days. I noticed today that the passenger side footwell was pretty wet, and behind/underneath he passenger side was completly drenched.

I laid some paper down and wet the car to see where it was comming from. Couldnt find why it was so wet behind the passenger seat but i think i found where the water is comming from. Here is a picture:

the red arrow shows where the leak is dripping down from

is it possibly the screen wasnt sealed properly? or something else?

i would think the winscreen seal, get a air compressor with a blower piece, get in the car and blow air around all the seal, and get a mate to stand on the out side and listen for where the air in comen from! hope that helps abit

I Found it was my Windsreen seal, Found out alot of windscreen places apply the sealant on the screen, and not on the car, this ends is the sealant not contacting parts of the body, and ends up leaking.
I had to have my screen re-sealed.

But today i found the passenger side now leaks around the bottom middle of the door geez! never ending

when you got the windscreen replaced did you leave it under cover for a night to let it dry ?
because i got told after i replaced my VS one to let it dry over night and not drive it because if you go over bump / pot hole etc it could move out of place

mate it may not be this being winter but if you have used your air con check your over flow hose for your air con it comes down directly under your dash up the front of the center console and goes into the floor unscrew the side passenger flap on the center console and check....or it could be a heater core problem but if your running coolant then the coolant from the heater water should be green and under the carpet it will be sticky to touch if its clear then its coming in somewhere else like the windscreen or the air con over flow.

Nah the guys who installed it said to just leave the tape on for 24 hours, nothing about not driving it.

Havent touched the air con, dont even use it in summer really. The water is a tad brown, but i assume it is because the carpet is saturated and the car was rather dirty when i got it. could do with a carpet shampoo lol

I have to assume its the windscreen because it didnt leak on the passenger side at all untill i got the windscreen replaced and if you look closely where the arrow is pointing you can see where the water is leaking down from.
What confuses me though is it is a bit wet as shown in the picture, but really, really saturated behinde the passender seat. I picked up my sister from school and possibly she didnt close her door properly.

nah id say more than likely when youve moved off the water has just gone in the back...when i did my heater core on my old commodore i had water everywhere including the back....best bet mate is have someone with a watering can put water around the suspect area then with you in the car get a torch and shine up under the console to see where its coming from it could also be coming through your antenna cable hole pull of the side kick panel and check if theres any holes that are seeing daylight....when my heater core went i replaced it with a new one 2 days later there was still water in the car i was like wtf thinking it was the heater again i pulled it out but it wasnt that...it was a combo of the antenna cable hole the rubber seal had gone water was coming in from the splash up from the tyres and thinking i fixed that water was still coming in...what it was a tiny rust hole and i mean tiny under the windscreen surround took a while to work it all out but eventually i got it....but best bet is to pour water over the screen....no leaks then go around the guard with water...still none....open the bonnet pour water into the top corner where the firewall and guard meet...if none of that works....check your cooling see if you are losing water from the reservoir if its losing water there then 100 bucks says its your heater core no loss of water there its coming in from out side or air con hose also check your seals around the doors and the scuff plate...and best bet also is to peel back your carpet from the firewall if you notice water coming in then follow the trail of water....remember with water it travels sometimes where you think its leaking its not... good luck mate hope you get it.

i've had water leaks to rear doors of which i've fixed

i have an annoying wet drivers footwell which isn't caused by blocked air cond drain or heater core leak

maybe from past flooding ? the underlay not drying

you would think that holden could of sorted these simple problems out by now ???

but they still happen in their current models

Well i gave them a call this morning and they said to bring it down. they poured water over it to test were it was leaking from, definetly leaking where the picture i posted showed. The manager tried to tell me it wasnt the windscreen, suggested it could have been the antenna, however the guys working there were really good and put some sealing stuff around the windscreen anyway. pretty pleased with the customer service, but waiting for it to dry before i test it again.
