    Default VT dash cluster problems

    Hi every1,

Went to Fairy Meadow (NSW) Booran Holden 2day to get my (VT Spack 5 speed) 3 window cluster reset, but they couldnt do it (still charged $82)by saying that my cluster is the prob.He said.he reset it but it came back again.

Apperently 3 codes coming up; cant remember exactly but i think 53,55 and 57 or 53,35 57...Cluster and seat tensioners i think..Everything else is ok.

If they(Holden)cant fix it where the hell am i gonna get it fixed?

Any ideas, dont mine travelling for the right person.

    Thank you all...

Try doing a self diagnosis 1st and see wat ur codes r exactly?, then u will get more help from others after 2.

there is no code 53 how eva if its code 55 its faulty ECU which u would hope not, or 35 is idle speed error and code 57 is injector power supply monitor.

sounds like bad codes appart from code 35 if thats correct.

Tx for the reply,Im sorry but i think its my bad, cause nothing to do with the things u mentioned,im sure he said smthing about the belt tensioners and the cluster cause ive got "ss" seats in the car.

But im sure first one was 53...

Other then car starts and runs like a dream (touchwood)..

Used just under 80Ltrs. from Melb. to here.

OK.Found a good local mechanic(2519),was after a blue slip anyway(changed states),left the car last friday, rang me the same arvo,he said he got code 35 (short circuit front seats to dash) and code 53 (config. mismatch).Picked it up today, two front belt tensioners replaced and he reprogrammed the SRS system (2 airbags) to suit the car.

Now,no more annoying buzzer and got my cruise control back also fuel pump noise is gone(didnt even know it was related).

If any1 interested, can supply his whereabouts.

this is a little off topic, but if you do have an error code, can you see what the error code is without taking it to holden?

Yes you can, here is a little read for you,but not much you can do on your own, even with my problem,Booran Holden in Fairy Meadow couldnt fix it,after half an hour of mucking around, told me to leave the car for few days, useless lazy b#@&^*s..

You can with the V6 but with the LS1 you need a compatible scan tool.
