    Default Wet weather handeling

I have a 2001 vx executive and want some feedback on how others cars drive i'n the wet. I find that bacause of the camber I have real problems with traction, aquaplane and slip. It has traction control and seems to just spinn the rear wheels, evenin i'n a straight line. And before you say it's my right foot this is happening at less than a quaternary throttle accelerating slowly and smoothly.

    Get some better tyres.

Also look into fixing your camber problems.

    +1 on that

my vx is an 01 without traction control and no camber problem,
If i get too eager from a standing start in the wet they spin a little but that's more then likely because my rear tyres are nearly due for change.

your 2 options for your camber problem if your not aware are a camber kit or getting a series 2 or higher rear cradle.

The issue is more related to camber than tyres; my SS does, or did the same thing in the wet especially if it were a standing start on a hill.
The shitty camber means less tyre area is in contact with the ground, making it more difficult for the wheels turning to get traction.

In regards to aquaplane / hydroplane, you'll find the opposite is correct; the greater the contact area of tyre the more likely the car is to aquaplane / hydroplane.

Yeh I was not to sure what one would be more of a problem. Thanks for the feedback. I am due for some new rear shocks so may swap out the rear cradle for a vy one and put some pedders sports riders on it. I also have some fe2 i'n the shed so I hope these will help (of a vt berlina). My tyres have a fair amount of tread and hopefully this plus a wheel alighnment will help. I feel like a ######## driving i'n the wet just spinning . It's fun but other motorists must be unhappy with me, and I feel like a I am going to have a heart attack when it slides out haha apparently the camber kits don't fix it enough and a new setup is alot better

My car is very loose in the wet as well, which I put down to tyre quality as there is still about 50% tread left on the bad boys ...
