LS1 will bolt into a VT or a VX but you will need to change a fair bit of stuff including the K frame, radiator, wiring loom, ECU and so forth. You would need to use a tailshaft from another V8 wagon or a ute or a statesman.
VX2 Executive Sedan - 3.8L Auto (for now)VT SS Sedan - Supercharged V6 Auto (Genuine L67 SS)VN SS Sedan - 5.0L 5 Speed Manual (Currently Balga spec waiting for panel and paint)
it's a lot of work and expensive labour wise if you get someone to do it
basically just say you have a VX2 wagon
get a smashed SS Commodore and put everything you need into the wagon
This is a big project. If you can't get a hold of a VT/VX LS1 vehicle to grab parts from, don't even bother, it'll cost a fortune. You'd be better off just selling your wagon and buying an LS1 one.
LS1 wagons are very rare though so i can see why someone wants to do this...
There are plenty of LS1 wagons around. Availability isn't an excuse.
ah cool so a ute tailshaft will fit.
ive already got a smasshed vx ss just need to find a wagon
how do i go about registering it from a v6 to a v8
i think it will be worth it and should be a nice project
