    Default ls1 conversion into vt-vx wagon

    hi i just got a few questions about doing an ls1 conversion into a vt-vx wagon. is their any problems in putting one into a vt or would i better off starting with a vx and how much off the running gear would fit from a vx ss

    i havent been able to find much info on doing a wagon conversion any help would be much appreciated

    LS1 will bolt into a VT or a VX but you will need to change a fair bit of stuff including the K frame, radiator, wiring loom, ECU and so forth. You would need to use a tailshaft from another V8 wagon or a ute or a statesman.
    VX2 Executive Sedan - 3.8L Auto (for now)
    VT SS Sedan - Supercharged V6 Auto (Genuine L67 SS)
    VN SS Sedan - 5.0L 5 Speed Manual (Currently Balga spec waiting for panel and paint)

    it's a lot of work and expensive labour wise if you get someone to do it

    basically just say you have a VX2 wagon

    get a smashed SS Commodore and put everything you need into the wagon

    LS1 wagons are very rare though so i can see why someone wants to do this...

    ah cool so a ute tailshaft will fit.
    ive already got a smasshed vx ss just need to find a wagon


    how do i go about registering it from a v6 to a v8

    i think it will be worth it and should be a nice project

    Depends if you want to put in the hours to swap it all over, i was going to do the same thing but ended up just selling my v6 vx and got a ls1 vx for $6500 (sold for $4000)

    yeh well im pretty keen to do it just trying to find a strait cheap wagon
    dont care if the motor is shagged or what the interior looks like
