    Default vx commodore ecotech engine

hey folks kinda a weird question i guess but....
what sort of k;s do you think a 3.8ltr eco engine is good for... if the engine is meticulously maintained and looked after etc.... car has 185 k's on it at the moment...

i was under the assumption they;d be good for half a million.... im sure theres some vns still getting around with that amount when theyve been looked after.. whats your thoughts..

Seen them with 600,000km on the clock. It had had a few major bits replaced in that time but it was the original motor.

Of course, but every engine is different, some will last ages. I was just saying that cam bearings are a pretty big fault with the ol' ecotecs.

My VT is at 443,000km, all original engine, gearbox (auto) and diff. Largest part replaced was radiator which had a slight crack.
