Hi guys ive looked at a few of the FAQ's and i still cant get my head around it.
I was wondering if these wheels would fit a 2000 VT commodore..

If not, what would i need to look for to find ones that do?
cheers.
good luck with 20's mate..
I had 20s on my car n I have sssl in the front n I ripped my guard apart so be careful with the width n how low you go
1993 VR CALAIS 5 SPEED MANUAL,Lowered all around on pedders, 20 inch G8s, Option audio front splits, option audio amps, sound stream subs, pace maker extractors, high flow cat, 2.5inch lukey cat back exhaust
lol well that was stupid
them rims are foul
If the question is will those rims fit on your car, not sure, most wheel shops should have more common sence then to sell you the worst looking rims I've ever seen. Will 20's fit on your car, yes.
What, apart from the visual aspect, is the advantage of putting 18, 19, 20 or 22 inch wheels on a commodore? I mean I understand 4 x 4 owners doing it, just means they will not fall so far into the holes they drive over. Although they(4x4 owners) usually do it by using very high profile tyres. But again, what is the advantage/benefit?
I just looked at those wheels. They look like they should be a wall hanging in the Vatican

obviously there is no advantage.. its just the visual aspect..

20's fit just get your gaurds rolled and make sure they have clearence on full lock. My mate has 20's at FE2 height and no worries at all
car on 20's
the suspension nad gaurds are the same through VT-VZ
will 20's be too much with superlows?
wouldnt that only depend on how wide you go?
20"s fit fine on a VT i run SL all round, used to have SSL on the rears, 245/30/R20 tyres with no issues.
You CANNOT make this statement without disclosing the widths and offsets of the wheels.
"Saying 20's will fit fine on a VT" is a rubbish and inaccurate statement. Saying 20's that are X's wide and have Y offset will fit fine with SL front and SSL rear is accurate.
So annoying when people make these sort of general statments not knowing what they are talking about or do not provide enough crucial details in their answer and then have members taking that advice on face value and a couple weeks downt he track be get threads on the topic of "Someone told be blah blah blah and not my wheels rub on the inner guard at full lock"
If you're going to give such a definative answer, ensure you provide the OP with ALL the details he needs to ensure he ends up without issues.
If you get it wrong, he can damage inner guards, outerguards, strut, etc.
well my guess is that; if my VT calais international wheels are 235(can't remember profile atm)R17 48p offset if his wheels were 245/30R20 with 48p offset then his wheels/tyres are 5mm wider on each side then my factory stock wheels/tyres and they wont hit a damm thing, unless its f*cking slammed on SSSSL's and the gaurds aren't rolled.
Ask your local tyre shop and they will know the correct offsets that fit or try seaching the forum's here and PM the guys with 20s asking what offset they have. 9 times outta 10 it'll be the factory 48p
Trust me, 19" (x 8"/8.5", respect to jesterarch) are plenty big enough. There's too much room for error with 20"s, the risk is too high when compared with the small benefits.
I have 19" VY Sigs at the moment, and im getting 19" Advantis (of some type) soon, and they both look pleeeeenty big enough, especially when accented by low profile tyres.
Just another opinion.
