    Default Vt-vx interior dash upgrade

I was just wondering if anybody has come across a thread on a how-to remove vt dash and replace it with a vy dash? Is it possible?
    Thanks. Matt

    hi matt how are you..
now in this world anything is possible.. there are a few people that HAVE indeed done it

but you have to realise two things.. you need to RE WIRE alot.. eg for your dash and other things to work..

Also it is going to look sort of out of place..

its something i would do.. But it will take you a very long time..

removing a vt dash is easy you just need to know how..

    cheers

There probably is but finding it might be difficult, but try searching anyway.
A Gregory's repair manual will explain the procedure, it will cost you around $40 and come in handy for other repairs.

I've heard this takes some effort. Isn't it true the wires are double the amount on the vy than the vt vx ?.

ok,simple enough if you have time & more time. the vt-vz are basically the same car so everything generally bolts in the same.
the easiest solution is buy a completely wrecked vy-vz then pull everything out it & transfer it into your car. use the wiring, the ignition switch, ecu, bcm etc-everything. that way less headaches. by using a complete wreck you will get all the extras you find you will need like shifter assembly, centre console, plastic bits bolts screw etc. then when your done just sell whats left

How to remove parts of dash

the second post shows you all you need to know with all the tricky spots, other than the screws, you just need to pull it off with a tiny bit of force. be careful not to lose any of the clips as they are just sitting on little knobs in the dash. hope this helps
