Hey guys, i took a vid of my VT's exhaust, i kno revving it when its cold isnt good thats y smoke is coming out the muffler tip :P but it was the only chance i had lol
YouTube - My VT Commodore Exhaust
lemme know what u think
What's done to it??
1993 VR CALAIS 5 SPEED MANUAL,Lowered all around on pedders, 20 inch G8s, Option audio front splits, option audio amps, sound stream subs, pace maker extractors, high flow cat, 2.5inch lukey cat back exhaust
just a redback 2.5inch pipe high flow muffler catback, gonna get my extractors soon
that sounded bloody average mate, how many mufflers does it have?
I had a hotdog which i removed at the rear and it sounds bawws
doesnt sound like your average redback, actually sounds terrible for a redback, sorry
thats a bit like what mine sounds like and i thought it was a bit off i thought it might have been coz of hi flow cat but i dunno
take off rear resinator, and put pacemaker extractors then it would sound alot better and meaner! have a straight through pipe instead of rear resi. thats what i got. if u want ill show u a vid?
ye i shall take off the resi soon, i think its got 2-3 mufflers![]()
ye show me a vid man![]()
sounds alright mate (y)
if you're interested this is mine - gotta skip to 1:20 for the small revs and then a few bigger ones- YouTube - Commodore VT Exhaust revving
i had a straight pipe and it sounded like crap until i put a hotdog on it
dont put a hotdog on, completely suppresses higher revs (over 3000) u want crackle and loudness, dont get a hotdog, im considering a straight pipe i want it louder!
haha mate, ive had both. when i got the catback the guy put a hotdog on and it basically did what i said in my above post. Got it off and it was ####ing boss.
have you got extractors? if so then ive read hotdogs make it sound better but i doubt the OP does.
Acording to Fred Durst. A hot dog is a penis... I'm guessing a Penis is not something you want in your exhaust system
Well i have extractors to a hi flow cat, 2.5 inch set up, centre hotdog and a dump at the rear wheel (dump at rear wheel makes it louder and deeper note due to less piping)
I can assure you with the setup on mine the hotdog is needed because a straight pipe gives it a less lumpy sound, hence the use of the hotdog on my system
