Kings or lovells are the better brands out there, unless you've got the money for coilovers.

Swaybars are awesome, well worth the money

If it isnt tuckin, it must be suckin

Just out of curiosity, what benefits would "stiffer" springs give and what sort of costs are you talking about? I'm looking at doing some work to my VT also, and I'm a bit (read: alot) of a newb.

    Cheers.

Well iv got a S-Pack with FE2 springs etc, and iv also got a strut brace, i do alot of fast hills driving with my other mates (who own imports) and they cant beleive how well i do keeping up with them, defiantly get a strut brace it has made the world of difference plus i'm going to get the bigger sway bars (45$) and also some real stiff springs (maybe round 400-500$)

Im also running Neuton NT5000 235/40/18 which are around 150$ each and they are a great tyre so after i get the other stuff she will handle well i personally think.

Also im making up a custom rear strut brace for the boot where the towers sit to hopefully stiffen that up a bit.

At the end of the day it is a commodore which get the name of 'boats' but i wanna prove that you can change few things and get a responsive ride. I only have cat-back exhaust and KN panel filter with more piping going into the air box i run Bendix high performance pads plus service every 5000kms plus do leads, plugs etc every 10xxxkms.

All those things i have said above make a great combination hope this helps people out

    Cheers.

hey mate, you would be better off looking at stiffer shocks than springs. especially if you're going to be giving it a proper hard time on the roads, not the track.

You can't really get stiff "springs" perse, springs affect the ride height. Shocks when matched with the spring will offer that stiff ride you are after

most after market commodore coils are aprox 15-25% stiffer in rate than a standard coil, kings also do a h/d version which is a bit heaver again, but a stiffer coil needs to have a stiffer shock to control it.
