hey guys,
ive already had a search for it, cant seem to find anything about changing the front left guard. i have a body kit on my berlina and i am unsure of the correct way to remove and replace the quarter panel.
any links or hints would be greatly accepted
cheers sam
I recently changed over my guard. You've gotta remove the side skirt, front bumper and bonnet. Also need to take off the gas strut that holds bonnet from the engine bay. The right size flat head will fit in the torque screws. Then just take off the bolts on the guard which are in engine bay, under the headlight, in between the door and car and where the side skirt meets the guard
3x 10mm bolts up the top under the bonnet. and two T30 or T40 torx bolts holding the gas strut on. I use a piece of wood on top of the motor and the other end resting on the bonnet to keep it up
open the door and there will be 1 10mm bolt up the top
Remove the guard liner and there will be 1 10mm bolt around the bottom half of the fender (near the drivers door) you will need an extension to reach this.
Under the plastic side skirt, you can just remove half of it if you wish. There will be another 2 10mm bolts holding the fender on right down the bottom
pop the bumper off which is easy, it just slides out of the plastic locators, and there will be 1 remaining 10mm bolt holding it on.
then lift the guard off and disconnect the indicator light blub.
