Hey again, How much do you approx think it would cost to get a VX Series 2 ajustable rear cradle fitted to a series 1 vx? ie remove old one and fit new one. I brought the cradle a little wile ago but i dont have very level ground at my joint so i dont trust getting under it and fitting it myself on unlevel ground. So that leaves me at having to pay someone to do it. I figgure if you have the right tools wich most mecanics would it wouldent take to long at all.
Also is there a diffrence between the VX Series 2 ajustable cradle & a VY ajustable cradle??

??? I thought the difference was the extra control link between VX and VXII. The cradle is the same between the two with an extra pickup point attached to the floor pan and of course the control arm with the VXII. Welding one to the floor of a VXII would be relatively cheap however locating it in the right spot without another car to reference off will be difficult.

I have a Vx series 1 unfortunatly. no control link, and i have horrible camber wear, So instead of going with a camber kit wich as far as i understand dont really work i just went and brought a VX series 2 cradle with contorl link. but im yet to fit it to my car as i havent got level ground.
All the forms i have read everyone sais to get a cradle out of a VY....but i got one out of a series 2 vx(both have contol link) so why go with a VY cradle? arnt series 2 vx and VY the same??? i thought so???..just wonder why people say get one out of a VY..why not just say VX series2???
But yeh apart from that how much would it cost to get the series 2 cradle fitted to my series 1 VX??(already have the series 2 cradle in my garage)

About 4 to 5 hours in a mechanics workshop so 4 or 5 x whatever his hourly rates are. My mechanic charges $50 an hour but every other mechanic I have had quotes from says $65 to $120 per hour.
Yeh thats about that i was thinking... mecanics around here are approx $70-77 hour. say 5 hours, around $385 (had to get calculator out), sounds fair. better than having the car fall on me.

I might be misunderstanding what you are saying but the VX1 and VX2 cradles are different as the mounting point for the toe link is on the cradle not the floor pan...Originally Posted by Reaper

The mounting points are welded onto the big U shape thing just under the floor on the VX2 setup.
