Default Irregular Blinking of Indicators VX Commodore

    Hi,

I have noticed that my Mum's vx commodore indicators, blinks at an irregular speed from normal. Sometimes the indicators do not blink at all and just stays on until turned off. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and know how to fix?

    Cheers.

    Hey Joey24

I have the same problem with my VX. Seems to be worst first thing in the morning. Asked my mechanic but he didn't know. Would be interested to find out what causes it as well.

I had a similar problem on my old vs. Sometimes the indicators didn't go. Replaced the flasher relay circuit and it was good as gold. I think the navara one was like $15nz

Thanks. So where is the flasher relay located? Is it in the fuse and relay box on the left handside of the engine when facing the front of the car?

On the vs it was in the fuse box under the steering wheel. Turn on the indicators and open the fuse box. You can hear/feel it clicking, it's next to the other relays for your blower etc

So is it correct that the flasher is located under the steering wheel fuse area in the VX Commodore.

the relay is under the steering wheel in the fuse box..take it out and replace, pretty cheap aswell if i remember correctly.if the indicators are working but flashing fast or intermitent, try the globes or faulty connection where the globe sits in (i had same on my VT)
Also check my ride, sitting on HSV R8 19's

I have the same problem at the moment with my VU SS. It started happening about a week ago. I will locate the relay and try replacing it and let you guys whether it fixed it or not.

Can anyone tell me if it is located in the top left corner of the fuse box under the steering wheel labelled "flasher unit"?

That sounds like the right one. Turn the indicators on and put your finger on it you'll feel it clicking.

Can't remember if it was labeled on the relay itself
