Default VT SS Series 1 Colours?

Hello, I was recently having a debate with someone about the colour of my vt ss. Someone was telling me that mine isnt an SS or isnt its original colour? Im at work atm so i cant upload any pics to show, but its like a very dark blue, almost looks a tad purple in the sunlight, and almost looks black ish in the dark.

If anyone could link me to the colors they came out in or show me images that would be greatly appreciated.

pretty sure ss's dont have the own colour.. and the ss's had the 6 speed bolted to the v8!

ring holden with your vin and ask them what it is.. but 99% sure its not a genuine ss by the sound of it

so i got onto holden and they confirmed the vin is an SS sedan. what confused me a little though, is the compliance plate in the front under the bonnet says 98 model, and its a 5.0 litre series 1, but the lady at holden told me its listed as an MY00? I always thought model year was usually the year of or the year after the manufacture date.

On the build plate above your passenger side headlight, the code A9F at the right of the top line should confirm a genuine SS

    Series 1 should be a 5L and series 2 should be a 5.7L
