    Default VT Gen3 upgrade help

    Hi guys, first time poster long time viewer.

    I recently bought a VT SS (gen3) and my mate has given me the opportunity to pull a few parts off his smashed VZ SS Ute before insurance takes it away.

    I was wondering what you recommend taking off as an upgrade for the VT. From what ive been reading the intake manifold off the VZ is a good upgrade for my VT, is that right?
    Is there anything else i should consider?

    manifold for sure, its an LS6 manifold so it will flow better then the LS1 manifold on your GEN3.

    Stationary write off, front ender. Engine and everything back from it (apart from panels) is still good though.

    as DM said the manifold is the ls6 manifold from VX onwards so that will be good, also the heads are different too, the vt will have 241 on the heads whereas the vz should have 243, just flow a little better, but you may aswell grab alternator and stuff aswell as spare, saves buying another one if yours decides to shit itself

    yeah my bad i forgot heads as well, cheers walesy.

    id take the whole engine if you could, arent some VZ SS's 6L? that would be an upgrade in itself
