You will probably need to upgrade the BCM because it contols the auto on, not the switch. Also, I think you need the sensor that senses when it gets dark.

Auto lighs on is different to what you have. When set to auto the lights will come on by themselves when it gets darker and turn off again when it gets lighter.

hey guy as accent said you will have to go to a high bcm as only high bcm does that and you will also need the sensor . Also just for the record the lux bcm wont do auto headlights either which is in the berlina only calais have high bcm. But saying all this aswell you cant just swap the bcm if you are running a low or med to a high bcm as there is more wiring and plugs on the high. Guys i am acyually in t he middle of making a kit that will do auto headlights that will use the factory switch and sensor but i am also going to make up a kit that actually has a seperate sensor so you dont have to swap over the sensor module in dash as you will need extra plug for that so email me if interested and when i have it done i will email you to see id you are interested in buying kit of me price cant say as still have to work out what will be needed to complete the kit.

I put one in my vx 2 its not the bcm its the switch its self, in the vx 2 with the stock switch, your headlights turn off when you open the drivers door if lights are left on, i took out stock switch and put an auto one in, all that does if you leave it on auto is when you get out of the car and lock it, the lights stay on for for a short time, and when you unlock it they come on again, the swith has a timer in it, the bcm is only involved when you have the the setup that detects when its dark.
