Advice re purchase

my first time on.can some one help me am looking at buying a 2001 vx auto the owners say that the fuel pump was replaced last year and now it will not restart when you have been driving for awhile.went for a drive in it goes great and did restart may happen on longer trip.

Sounds like a dodgy coil pack... Typically they will work fine, then die once the engine is warm until they get to a point where they just die fullstop (usually shortly after). Pretty cheap and easy to fix.

I Was thinking more along the lines of a CAS sensor, but really i would not buy a car when the owner says it wont start sometimes, who knows what could be wrong and could cost lots of $ to sort it out
